But I must say, that atmosphere would take anyone’s joy away as the brightest and cleanest area we saw was the ladies room in Paris! On a good note, the steaks and service we experienced at Toby Keith’s were above average. There were no screams of joy, no shouts, nothing! It really had an overriding feel of gloom and doom. Although it was a Saturday and we were there for 6 hours, we saw no one winning.
Wherever there is a smidgeon of space, someone has decided a slot machine must reside. To my dismay, I can only say, WHAT THE HECK DID SOMEONE DO TO THAT ONCE-GREAT CASINO WITH SO MUCH POTENTIAL? Dark, dingy, cluttered, haphazard, low-class and depressing are some of the words that come to mind. This weekend a friend from NE was visiting so I decided it was time to visit WinStar once again and give it a shot. It was quite impressive and enjoyable, until I hit that losing streak in 2011 so I stopped gambling altogether.
The hotel had been completed, the entire venue, especially the newest sections from Paris to the hotel were giving the WinStar an upscale feel. Prior to 2011, I’d been a WinStar “Frequent Flyer”.
